The Referral Process
Upon receiving a referral for special education, the following process takes place:
*A referral meeting will be set to discuss your child's progress and supports
*If the student's team decides to move forward with an evaluation, parents will need to provide consent for the school team to evaluate.
*If consent is signed, the school team will complete an evaluation in 60 days.
*If the student qualifies for special education, an individualized education plan will be put in place.

** Including targeted instruction goals for areas of lagging skills and classroom accommodations.
IEP Team: All service providers for the student, classroom teacher, and parents
SPED- Special Education
SLD - Specific Learning Disability
SSN - Significant Support Needs
